TOP 3 FAVOURITE BROW GELS

Eyebrow pencils and waxes are good but I often find that they can make my brows look a little too defined and perfect. Tinted gels, on the other hand, are perfect in filling in the sparse areas and giving the brows a natural and not overly defined look. If you have fine and sparse eyebrows, using an eyebrow pencil can often make the eyebrows appear like drawn-on lines on the forehead if you don’t use light, feathery strokes. This is why I love tinted brow gels; they add volume and colour to the brows without making them look unnatural.

1. BENEFIT GIVE ME BROW

This innovative brush-on fiber gel adheres to skin & hair creating brows where before there were none. It builds easily for thick, lush arches, thanks to a tapered brush for blending and a precision tip for shaping. It is available in two shades.
This brow mascara has all the wow-factor you'd expect from a BEST-rated product! The small brush easily grooms brows into your desired shape, and the tinted brow gel that the brush deposits works in two different ways to fill in sparse areas. The gel formula is thickening, so it clings to the existing brow hairs and builds volume without becoming clumpy or hard.
Subtly building on what you already have is good news for people who have reasonably filled in eyebrows, but what if you don't? Use the tip of the small wand's brush to draw in a little colour and you'll be surprised at how gorgeously even the sparsest brows will fill in.
Unfortunately, this product is available only in light brown and dark brown, which leaves blondes and redheads out of luck on an exact match for their natural colour. However, the available shades may still be workable for dark blonde brows or blondes who want to make light brows darker.

2. LOREAL BROW ARTIST PLUMPER

With this tinted and fibre-enriched gel, you can volumise and intensify brows with one simple sweep. It's only available in two colours, but the light/medium is a brilliant match for lots of different shades of hair. It also comes in transparent colour too. It seems to blend in seamlessly on blondes right through to mid to dark brunettes. The pigment is not as full-on as in some other brow mascaras, so is a good place to start if you're new to brow make-up.

 3. RIMMEL BROW THIS WAY

This inexpensive brow mascara comes in three shades. It's a good generic shades though and suits most skin tones and works well on blonde to brown hair shades. Soft bristles on the precision brush head make applying the smudge-proof, fade-proof colour easy and accurate, for instantly plumped up thicker brows.
It comes in three shades: Blonde, Mid Brown, Dark Brown and has additional Gel Clear option. I opted for Dark Brown to match my naturally dark eyebrows and brown eyes. As for the lasting power I have no complaints. It does not smudge, does not fade and stays the same all day long, even though your eyebrows feel soft to touch. I also love the fact that you can build the colour, it can be as light and as dark as you wish with correct application technique.

GOJI BERRIES - NUTRITIONAL POWERHOUSE / SUPERFRUIT / SUPERFOOD

Goji berries are the most nutritionally dense fruit on Earth. The goji berry, also known as the wolfberry, is a member of the Solanaceae or nightshade family of plants. It’s a bright orange-red berry commonly grown in the north-central and western areas of China. Native to the Himalayan Mountains of Tibet and Mongolia, the goji berry is now grown in many other countries as well. Although they have only been introduced in Western countries in recent years, goji berries have been used for thousands of years in Tibet and China, both as a culinary ingredient and medicinally.

The ripe berry is easily damaged during picking, so it’s common for them to be carefully dried to preserve them before export. IThis sweet-tart fruit is usually sold dried and looks like bright red raisins. You can also enjoy goji berries fresh off the vine (they’re surprisingly easy to grow in warm climates). Most supermarkets sell dried goji berries in the bulk section. They also come prepackaged. n the UK they are commonly eaten as the dried fruit or as a component of fruit juice.
They are most often consumed raw, made into a tea or extract, or as an ingredient in soups. Goji berries are most commonly available in dried form, and make a great snack eaten as is, added to trail mix, muesli or oatmeal. They can also be soaked for a couple of hours in enough water to cover them. Then the soak water can be drained off and makes a delicious drink, or both water and berries added to smoothies.

Unique among fruits because they contain all essential amino acids, goji berries also have the highest concentration of protein of any fruit. They are also loaded with vitamin C, contain more carotenoids than any other food, have twenty-one trace minerals, and are high in fiber. Boasting 15 times the amount of iron found in spinach, as well as calcium, zinc, selenium and many other important trace minerals, there is no doubt that the humble goji berry is a nutritional powerhouse.

Goji berries are a nutritional powerhouse, packing healthy food energy into small servings. That means that while they don’t have any direct correlation with weight loss, they can be part of a healthy weight loss plan. Their rich, sweet taste, along with their high fiber content, provides a feeling of fullness that can keep you from overeating and packing on the pounds.

This amazing little superfruit also contains natural anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal compounds. Their powerful antioxidant properties and polysaccharides help to boost the immune system. It’s no wonder then, that in traditional Chinese medicine they are renowned for increasing strength and longevity.
In traditional Chinese medicine, the goji is said to act on the Kidney and Liver meridians to help with lower back pain, dizziness and eyesight.

The complex carbohydrates that make goji berries so yummy raise blood sugar slowly, so you won’t experience a sugar crash afterwards. Hence also aids in regulating blood sugar levels.
Antioxidants protect cells against breaking down when they are exposed to elements like smoke and radiation. Even better, foods with healthy levels of antioxidants are often high in fiber and low in unhealthy fats.

Please note that there can be adverse interactions if you consume goji berries while also taking medication for diabetes, or blood pressure, or take the blood thinner warfarin. So be sure to consult your health care provider if that is the case.

Hey my lovely angels please let me know if you have better ways to incorporate goji berries into your daily diet in the comments below.

TOP 3 FAVOURITE DRUGSTORE MASCARAS

Mascaras lengthen and defines your eyelashes. Eye is the window to our soul so why not beautify them. Only putting on a mascara will make such a difference to your eye game. It just changes the look of those sleeping eyes to voluminous, plumped and confident.

My top 3 favourite mascaras are very different from each other in terms of wands and formulas and are all from different brands. As you would know that mascaras should be tossed every moth to keep a good hygienic and keep eye infections at bay. Because mascara is a product used on the eyes the brush tends to collect dust hence should be changed from time to time. Even maracas tend to dry out if kept for a long time. Mascaras come in both normal and waterproof version. But I prefer the normal version more than the waterproof once in terms of the formula.

Trick:
The trick to use a mascara that has tried out is to keep it in a bowl of warm water for a few mins or just run it under hot tap water and it will be in a reusable condition.

1. L'OREAL FALSE LASH SCULPT MASCARA

Packaging is a lovely blue and silver colour hence it is eye catching. The wand is very unique. The wand is designed with a curved comb on one side only and has short bristles that taper to almost at the end. The comb fits perfectly to the shape of the eye and combs evenly through single lashes. Once you start applying it you quite quickly get a natural, fluttery lash look without having to apply too much. After one coat I was more than happy with how my lashes looked and for everyday, I probably would have stopped there. It had lengthened and fanned out my lashes perfectly. The second coat worked to thicken my lashes more and create a darker base at the roots.

2. MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA

The packaging is a nice pink metallic colour. The brush has synthetic bristles and looks like the L'oreal voluminous butterfly mascara. But I would prefer this over that as the formula perfectly wraps around the lashes, and the brush makes it easy to apply at all angles. I find the formula is just wet enough to offer clump free results for those who like to layer many coats, but it is also thick enough to get away with using only one coat as well. I struggle to find mascaras that are able to lengthen as well as give volume at the same time, but the Maybelline Lash Sensational does both with ease. It does not flake throughout the day or smudge, so if you suffer with oily lids this mascara is great for you as well.

3. MAX FACTOR MASTERPIECE TRANSFORM MASCARA

Packaging is a nice black and gold sleek one. It has a plastic brush. It is nice and dark black, stays put all day without smudging. It separates my lashes very well and gives it good length without clumping. It gives a bit of a spidery look. The brush is such that it is also easy to quote the bottom lashes as well giving it a very dramatic look.
